The FeatureLine system is BT's alternative solution to the tradition PBX.
It was developed in order to take, transfer and deal with calls easily; however it is only cost effective for 1-2 people. If there are any more people in an organisation or there is a high call volume the FeatureLine system not only becomes expensive but also inefficient.

- No way to have customised on hold music and messaging
- Cannot programme low cost calls through CPS to give you discounts
- Cost associated every time you want to add a line for a new user
- Expensive handsets
- No line displays on individual handsets so each user is only able to answer one call from their handset
