How does the Service work?
The services we provide allow you to talk over the Internet using any computers, notebooks, IP Phones (such as the LAN Phone) and Analogue Telephone Adapters (ATA). You can take advantage of our low calling rates for domestic long distance and international calling. Our Unlimited call Plans will let you make unlimited calls to the UK and 20 other destinations. You can also receive phone calls on your computer, LAN Phone or ATA from callers using a regular telephone (PSTN) or mobile phone.

What do I need to use this service?
Does the person I am calling require your service as well?
No. You can call any regular phone (PSTN) anywhere in the world using our service at very low rates. If you are calling another Asergis subscriber's number from your Softphone, LAN Phone or ATA, calls will always be free of charge.
Do I need a computer to make calls?
You would need a computer to make calls using the Softphone.
You do not need a computer when calling from the LAN Phone or ATA.
What types of telephones can I use with your service?
Most touch-tone telephones and cordless phones that you are currently using at home can be connected to the ATA and should work with our service.
Can I use a fax machine with your service?
We are currently not supporting fax transmission using our service.
Can I receive a phone call from a conventional telephone and mobile phone?
Definitely! Our service plans include a DDI number that is programmed to your Softphone, LAN Phone or ATA. When callers using a conventional telephone or mobile phone dials your DDI Number, you will be able to receive the phone call on your Softphone, LAN Phone or ATA.
What area codes do you offer?
Currently, we offer area codes available in throughout the UK.

Can I use my existing home phone number with your service?
Yes you can, as we offer a porting service. This will allow you to move your telephone number over to Asergis.
Will my phone number be listed in telephone directory books?
The phone number assigned to you will not be listed in telephone directories.
Do you provide 999 dialing with the service?
We DO NOT provide 999 dialing. You are required to maintain a regular telephone service from you local phone company for traditional 999 dialing.
Is your service compatible with my existing home security system?
The service may not be compatible with home security systems. You may be required to maintain a telephone connection through your local phone company in order to use any alarm monitoring functions for any security system installed in your home or business. You are responsible for contacting the alarm monitoring company to test the compatibility of any alarm monitoring or security system with the service.
Will I be able to terminate my service anytime?
Our service plans are monthly services that allow you to cancel your service anytime. The customer is required to provide us with a written notice of cancellation at least fourteen (30) days in advance.
Does your service plans include Internet access?
Internet access can be provided by any Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and can be supplied by Asergis or included within our service plans. You should already have broadband Internet connection to be able to use our service.
Does your service work with Dial-up Internet connection?
Dial-up Internet can be used when using the Softphone, but it cannot be used with the LAN Phone or Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA).
Do I need a router for the service to work?
You do not need a router for the service to work because you can connect the LAN Phone or ATA directly to your DSL or Cable Modem. But if you want to connect more than one device to your Internet connection then you would need a router.
Can I use my existing home or office network?
Our service will work with your existing home or office network that supports Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Network Address Translation (NAT). With DHCP, IP addresses are assigned automatically to devices on your local network. NAT is used to enable multiple devices on a private network to access the Internet using a single public IP address.
Will the service operate with Wireless Internet access?
Yes, the service will operate as long as you have Ethernet connection for your LAN Phone or ATA.

Can I still use the service if I move to a different location?
Yes, you can use the service no matter where you go as long as you have broadband Internet access at your new location.
Can I take and use my LAN Phone or ATA when I travel?
Yes you can! The service will work wherever there is a broadband Internet access. You can take your LAN Phone and ATA on business trips or vacations and still use our service. You can also use our Softphone if you have a computer and a headset with microphone.
How do I dial domestic and international phone numbers?
To call from the UK and overseas numbers, dial 001+Area Code+Phone Number.
For international calling, dial 011+Country Code+Area Code+Phone Number.
Can I access my account information and call details online and how?
Yes. You can view your service usage, charges, Call Detail Records (CDRs) and all account activities for any billing period by logging in to your account on our website at www.asergis.com.
How do I forward my incoming calls to another number?
Call Forwarding is a great feature provided with our service. If you intend to be away from your computer, LAN Phone or ATA and wish to receive calls on your mobile phone or another phone you can set the Call Forwarding feature as follows:
- Log in to your account at www.asergis.com.
- Click on Configure Forwarding.
- Enter the phone number you want your calls forwarded to.
- Click on Reset Forwarding.
Note: Forwarding can be used when your Softphone or LAN Phone or ATA is not online.
Do you provide instant text messaging?
You can send and receive text messages when using the Softphone. You will also be able to talk and text at the same time.
Does your Softphone have a buddy list display?
Yes. You can add family and friends, who also subscribed to our service, to your buddy list. You can also see who are online or offline.
How will I get billed and how do I pay for the service?
Customers are given 3 different payment options to choose from. Your billing and payment is based on the option you choose as follows:
- FOR CUSTOMER PAYING WITH CREDIT CARD: Customer must give Asergis a valid credit card number (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or any other issuer then-accepted by Asergis ) when the service is activated. We will only accept credit cards issued in the United Kingdom. We will bill all charges, applicable taxes and surcharges monthly in advance (except for usage-based charges and any other charges which Asergis will charge automatically from your credit card in frequent intervals) to your credit card, including but not limited to: activation fees, monthly service fees, international usage charges, advanced feature charges, equipment purchases, shipping and handling charges, disconnect fees and reconnection charges. Any usage charges will be billed in increments that are rounded up to the nearest minute.
- FOR CUSTOMER PAYING WITH CHEQUES: Customer can pay with cheques and we will bill all charges, applicable taxes and surcharges three months in advance and Customer is required to pay three (3) months in advance (except for usage-based charges and any other charges which Asergis will charge automatically from your deposit in frequent intervals) including but not limited to: monthly service fees, international usage charges, advanced feature charges, equipment purchases, shipping and handling charges, returned cheque fees, disconnect fees and reconnection charges. Any usage charges will be billed in increments that are rounded up to the nearest minute. Customer will be charged a £25.00 fee for each cheque returned due to insufficient funds or for any other reasons.
- FOR CUSTOMER PAYING WITH CASH: Customer can pay with cash and we will bill all charges, applicable taxes and surcharges Quarterly and Customer is required to pay three (3) months in advance (except for usage-based charges and any other charges which Asergis will charge automatically from your deposit in frequent intervals) including but not limited to: monthly service fees, international usage charges, advanced feature charges, equipment purchases, shipping and handling charges, disconnect fees and reconnection charges. Any usage charges will be billed in increments that are rounded up to the nearest minute.
